A new iPhone application, called Tour Wrist, launched earlier this week and it features several 360° Virtual Tours produced by Frogman Interactive. Tour Wrist, available through the iTunes store, can be downloaded to your iPhone and works best with the 3GS phones, although it will work just fine with older models. The 3GS iPhones allow the user to maneuver the phone to navigate through the 360° Virtual Tours to really give a more immersive interactive experience. As the name suggests, the app is geared for the travel market and allows the user to select from hotels, restaurants, or places of interest. It utilizes your location and serves you information based on a nearby search of the content. Sharing capabilities and the ability to book a trip within the app make it a great tool for travel junkies or folks that would like to travel virtually.
Some of the 360° Virtual Tours from Frogman include images shot from the South Beach Marina in Hilton Head, The Carolina Inn, The Grand Canyon, and Appalachian State University’s Solarium among others.
